La Hacienda Alcaidesa Links Golf Resort is on the coast between Sotogrande and Gibraltar, about 15 minutes from SO/ Sotogrande. It has two 18-hole courses.
The Links course, designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark and opened in 1992, is one of the few links-style courses in southern Europe. Several holes run along the shore, with views across to the Rock of Gibraltar and the coast of Africa. It was renovated in 2021 and named Best Golf Course in Spain at the World Golf Awards 2023. The Heathland course, by Dave Thomas, opened in 2007 and runs inland through low hills and valleys with lakes. It has fewer sea views but is more sheltered on windy days.
The Links is in our Albatros packages with a shared buggy, and the Heathland in our Eagle packages, where buggies are not included. The courses are hilly and often windy, so a buggy is worth adding on the Heathland.

Which La Hacienda course is in my package?
The Links is in our Albatros packages and the Heathland in our Eagle packages.
Is a buggy included?
Yes on the Links in the Albatros packages. Eagle packages do not include a buggy; because the Heathland is hilly, we recommend adding one.
How far is it from the hotel?
About 15 minutes by car from SO/ Sotogrande, towards Gibraltar.
