Golf do Estoril opened its first nine holes in 1929 to a design by Jean Gassiat. The Scottish architect Philip Mackenzie Ross added the second nine in 1945 and reworked the rest, giving the course the shape it has today. It sits on the hills just above Estoril, among pine and eucalyptus trees, with views over the Atlantic.
The main course is par 69 and 5,189 metres, so length is not the issue. The tight, tree-lined fairways and sloping ground make it a test of accuracy. Estoril hosted the Portuguese Open many times between the 1950s and 1980s. There is also a 9-hole Blue course, a driving range, putting green, practice bunker, indoor pool and a clubhouse restaurant.

No. It is par 69 and 5,189 metres, but narrow fairways and slopes make it harder than the card suggests.
