A links-style course on the coast east of Antalya: sandy wastes, wind fences and five sets of tees from 4,768 m to 6,925 m, so the course can be set up for any standard. Packages normally play the gold tees at 6,321 m.
Lykia Links sits on the coast 25 km east of Belek, well away from the resort-course cluster. Perry Dye, son of Pete Dye, built a genuine links here in 2008: sandy waste areas instead of rough, wind fences, fast-running fairways and greens that ask to be run up rather than flown. It is the one course in Turkey that feels like the British and Irish coast.
Five sets of tees stretch it from 4,768 m to 6,925 m, so the same eighteen holes work for a scratch player and for a golfer off 30. Packages normally play the gold tees at 6,321 m.
Tees are set by handicap: black for 0-7, gold for 8-28, blue for 7-18 and red for 19-36. The wind decides the round; a calm morning and a breezy afternoon on the same day play like two different courses. The course is overseeded in late September, and closures are listed below.
