Quinta do Vale was designed by Severiano Ballesteros and opened in 2008 near Castro Marim in the far east of the Algarve. The course lies in a natural valley overlooked by the clubhouse, with views over the Guadiana river towards Spain. From the clubhouse terrace you can see much of the course.
It is par 72 and 6,511 metres from the back tees. Ballesteros used plenty of doglegs and hazards, but the fairways are wide, so it suits a range of abilities if you choose the right tees. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping area, restaurant and shop, with buggy, trolley and club hire and lessons available. Quinta do Vale is included in our 7-night Vila Galé Tavira package.
