BlackSeaRama was Gary Player’s first completed course in Eastern Europe. The first golfers played it in May 2008 and it was officially opened in 2009. It lies on the clifftops between Balchik and Kavarna, about 55 km north of Varna Airport, with the Black Sea and Cape Kaliakra in view.
The 18-hole course is par 72 and measures 6,240 metres from the gold tees. The fairways are wide and the greens larger than usual, with water in play from the 4th to the 7th and a long par 3 to finish. The Tuscan-style clubhouse has a pro shop and a bar and bistro with sea views, and the golf academy has a driving range. The course reopens at the beginning of March each year, weather permitting.

The Boutique Hotel BlackSeaRama is next to the course. Lighthouse Golf & Spa Hotel is about 2 km away, Thracian Cliffs a few minutes by car, and Meliá Grand Hermitage in Golden Sands about 30 km to the south.
It reopens at the beginning of March, weather permitting. The best months for golf on the coast are April to October.
About 55 km, or roughly 45 minutes by car.
