Elba Costa Ballena Beach & Thalasso Resort

Elba Costa Ballena Beach & Thalasso Resort is a four-star resort on the beach at Costa Ballena, between Rota and Chipiona on the Atlantic coast of Cádiz. Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club, José María Olazábal’s 27-hole course, is about a kilometre away and the hotel runs a free shuttle bus to it, so on Costa Ballena days the golf is right on your doorstep. Villanueva Golf at Puerto Real and Sherry Golf at Jerez are each around 35 to 40 minutes by car.

The resort has 234 rooms, a hundred metres from La Ballena beach. Our packages use a Double Room on half board, with buffet breakfast and dinner at the Gades buffet restaurant; drinks can be added with the hotel’s beverage package. Prestige Deluxe rooms, with a Nespresso machine, bathrobes and a courtesy minibar, and golf-view rooms are available for a small supplement.

After golf, the Thalasso Spa is one of the largest on the coast, with more than 2,000 m² of sea-water pool, sauna, hammam, Roman baths, jacuzzi and treatment rooms; our 2026–2027 packages include three entries to its thermal circuit. There is also a 24-hour gym, outdoor pools, a lobby bar and, in summer, a beach club. Jerez Airport is about 40 km away and Seville about 125 km.
