Kiedy jechać
When is the best time for golf in Bulgaria?
April to October is the main season, with May, June and September usually the most comfortable months. The coastal courses reopen in early March, weather permitting, while the mountain courses at Pirin and OKOL have a shorter season. Flights to Varna run mainly in spring and summer; Sofia has flights all year.
Where to go
Black Sea or Sofia?
Choose the Black Sea for clifftop golf with sea views on three courses close together, and a beach holiday for the rest of the group. Fly to Varna, about 45 minutes to an hour from the courses.
Choose the Sofia region for a short break at Pravets, under an hour from the airport, or for a mountain resort at Pirin near Bansko, about two hours south, with a large spa and Ian Woosnam’s course at the hotel.
