Salgados Golf opened in 1994 on low ground between Albufeira and Armação de Pêra, next to the Salgados lagoon and its nature reserve. The course was designed by Pedro Vasconcelos and plays to par 72 and 6,080 metres from the white tees. It is completely flat and lined with palms, and lakes come into play on most holes. Being close to the sea, the wind is often the main defence. The par-5 6th and the 12th, a par 3 to an island green added in a later renovation, are the holes most people remember.
Each nine has two par 5s and two par 3s. The flat ground makes it an easy course to walk. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, clubhouse restaurant and bar, and club and trolley hire. The Algarve Marriott Salgados and the beach are next to the course.

Do I need a buggy?
Not really. The course is completely flat and easy to walk, although buggies are available.
Czy obowiązuje limit handicapu?
Yes. The maximum handicap is 28 for men and 36 for ladies, so please bring your handicap certificate.
Where can I stay?
The Algarve Marriott Salgados is next to the course. Our NAU Morgado packages also include Salgados, with a shuttle from the hotel.
Are airport transfers included?
No. Airport transfers are not included in our packages, but we can arrange them on request. Faro Airport (FAO), about 35 minutes by car.
