The courses
Salinas de Antigua Golf Club is at Caleta de Fuste on the east coast of Fuerteventura, next to Fuerteventura Golf Club and a few minutes from the Sheraton Fuerteventura. It opened in 2006.
The course was designed by the Spanish Ryder Cup player Manuel Piñero. It is par 70 and about 5,400 metres long, flat and easy to walk, with sand bunkers, black lava waste areas along most holes and four small lakes that guard five greens. There are views of the ocean from much of the course.
The club has a golf school and practice area. Rounds at Salinas de Antigua are included in our 7-night Golf & Spa and Standard packages at the Sheraton.

Sheraton Fuerteventura Beach, Golf & Spa Resort is a few minutes away; the hotel shuttle goes only to Fuerteventura Golf Club.
Is it a difficult course?
It is shorter than its neighbour, but the lava areas and lakes punish wayward shots.
Do I need a handicap certificate?
Yes. The usual limits are 28 for men and 36 for women.
