About the hotel

Palácio Estoril opened in 1930 next to the casino gardens in the centre of Estoril. During the Second World War it was a meeting place for exiled royalty and for Allied and Axis agents, and Ian Fleming stayed here while working for British naval intelligence. Tamariz beach and Estoril station are a few minutes’ walk away.

The hotel’s own course, Golf do Estoril, is about 5 minutes away, with a free shuttle between hotel and course. All rounds in our packages are played there. It is one of the oldest courses in Portugal, short and hilly, with narrow tree-lined fairways.

Rooms are in a classic style. Guests have free access to the Banyan Tree Spa wet area, including an indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi and Turkish bath. The Grill Four Seasons is the hotel’s main restaurant. Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha and Oitavos Dunes are within about 20 minutes if you want to add other courses. Lisbon Airport is about 30 minutes away.

Frequently asked questions

Where do I play?

All rounds are at Golf do Estoril, the hotel's own course: 2 rounds on the 3-night package and 5 rounds on the 7-night package. A free shuttle runs between the hotel and the course.

Can I play other courses?

Yes. Penha Longa, Quinta da Marinha and Oitavos Dunes are within about 20 minutes. Ask us and we will add rounds to your booking.

Is the spa included?

Guests have free access to the Banyan Tree Spa indoor pool, sauna, jacuzzi, Turkish bath and hammam. Treatments are extra.

Are airport transfers included?

No. Airport transfers are not included in our packages. We can arrange a private transfer on request.
