The courses
West Cliffs Golf Links was designed by Cynthia Dye McGarey, niece of Pete Dye, and opened in 2017. It was named World’s Best New Golf Course in its first year. The course covers about 200 hectares of dunes and pine land on the Silver Coast, and there are views of the Atlantic from every hole, with the Berlengas Islands and the Óbidos lagoon in the distance.
It is par 72 and 6,337 metres from the back tees. The front nine is the more demanding half, with sandy waste areas and bold bunkering, and the terrain is hilly with some long walks between greens and tees, so a buggy is recommended. Top 100 Golf Courses ranks it among the top five courses in Portugal. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop and a clubhouse restaurant with ocean views.

Where can I stay?
West Cliffs Ocean & Golf Resort is on the estate. We also include West Cliffs in packages from Praia D'El Rey Marriott and the Evolutee Hotel at Royal Óbidos, all with a free shuttle to the courses.
Should I take a buggy?
We recommend one. The course is hilly and some walks from green to tee are long.
How far is it from Lisbon Airport?
About 1 hour by car. Airport transfers are not included in our packages but can be arranged on request.
