The Atlantic course at Penha Longa was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1992. It lies inside the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, on the Penha Longa Resort estate. The opening and closing holes run through wooded valleys with pines and granite boulders, while the middle of the round has views over the park, and the course looks out towards Cascais, Estoril and the ocean.
It is par 72 and 6,313 metres from the championship tees, on hilly ground, and it has hosted the Portuguese Open. The estate also has the 9-hole Monastery course from 1995. Facilities include a driving range, putting and chipping greens, a clubhouse with restaurant and bar, and GPS buggies.

Can I play at weekends?
Packages from Sheraton Cascais, Iberostar Selection Lisboa and Pestana Sintra include the Atlantic course on weekdays. Weekend play is possible with a supplement.
How far is it from Lisbon Airport?
About 30 minutes by car. Airport transfers are not included in our packages but can be arranged on request.
