Assoufid is the purest desert course in Marrakech and many golfers rate it the best in the country. Scottish designer Niall Cameron laid it out on natural terrain about 10 km south-west of the city, and it opened in 2014. There is no water on the course: the challenge comes from rocky waste areas, native desert plants and firm, fast greens, with the High Atlas rising behind.
It measures 6,440 metres from the back tees, so it is a serious test, but several sets of tees keep it enjoyable. The clubhouse has a restaurant and bar, and practice facilities include a 20-bay range and short-game areas. From 1 December 2026 a scout caddy is compulsory, shared by the flight and paid locally.

Is a caddy compulsory at Assoufid?
From 1 December 2026 a scout caddy is compulsory. The cost is shared by the players in the flight and paid locally.

Yes, a maximum of 35, and you should bring your handicap certificate.
