The Costa del Sol is Spain’s best-known golf coast, with more than 70 courses between Málaga and Sotogrande, mild winters and over 300 days of sunshine a year. The western end, around Estepona, Benahavís and Marbella, has the highest concentration of courses, from classics like Atalaya and El Paraíso to modern designs such as Valle Romano.

Which golf courses can I play from Elba Estepona?
Our packages use eight courses within about 35 minutes of the hotel:
- Valle Romano: 5 minutes away, a Cabell B. Robinson parkland course with huge greens.
- El Paraíso and Atalaya: established courses near Benahavís by Gary Player and Bernhard von Limburger.
- La Quinta: 27 holes by Manuel Piñero in Marbella’s Golf Valley.
- Santa Clara and Higuerón Marbella (formerly Marbella Golf): two courses in east Marbella.
- San Roque Golf & Resort and La Hacienda Alcaidesa: towards Sotogrande, with links and heathland options.

Choosing a package
Which Costa del Sol golf package is right for you?
Eagle: San Roque, Valle Romano, La Hacienda Heathland, Santa Clara and Higuerón Marbella; the widest spread along the coast.
Birdie: El Paraíso, Atalaya, Valle Romano, La Quinta and San Roque; mostly close to the hotel.
Albatros: both La Hacienda courses (Links and Heathland), La Quinta, Valle Romano and El Paraíso.
All three are 7 nights in a Double Deluxe Room on half board, with one free thalasso spa entry. Transport to the courses is not included, so most golfers hire a car.

When is the best time to play golf on the Costa del Sol?
Golf is played all year. October to May is the main season, with mild days and the courses in their best condition; March to May and October are the busiest. July and August are hot, and early tee times are best.
Golf at the hotel
Can I stay at a hotel with its own golf courses?
Yes. La Cala Resort, in the hills above La Cala de Mijas between Marbella and Fuengirola, has three 18-hole courses by Cabell B. Robinson (Campo America, Campo Asia and Campo Europa) and a par-3 course at the hotel. Our packages there are 3, 4 or 7 nights on bed and breakfast with a shared buggy for every round, and a 7-night unlimited golf option.

Which airport is closest?
Málaga (AGP) is about 35 minutes from La Cala Resort and about 1 hour from Estepona. Gibraltar (GIB) is about 40 minutes from Estepona plus the border crossing.
Are transfers included?
No. Airport transfers and transport to the golf courses are not included. We can arrange private transfers, but most golfers hire a car to reach the five different courses.
What is included in an Elba Estepona golf package?
7 nights in a Double Deluxe Room on half board (buffet breakfast and dinner, drinks not included), five green fees on the courses listed in the package, and one free entry per person to the Thalasso Spa thermal circuit.
Are there compulsory supplements?
Yes, at Christmas and Easter: festive dinners on 24 and 25 December (€10 and €15) and the New Year's Eve gala (€210) per person, plus €8.50 per person per night from 21 December to 1 January and from 20 to 28 March 2027.
Which hotel should I choose?
Choose La Cala Resort if you want to play without driving: three courses are at the hotel and a buggy is included. Choose Elba Estepona if you want five different courses along the coast and half board.
