Samanah is the only Jack Nicklaus course in Morocco. It lies on a 300-hectare estate on the road to Amizmiz, south-west of the city, and the Atlas Mountains are in view from every hole. Water comes into play often, and many holes offer a risk-and-reward choice from the tee, so it is a course for thinking golfers. From the championship tees it measures over 6,600 metres.
The clubhouse is inspired by the ramparts of Marrakech and has a restaurant and bar with views over the course. Samanah has hosted professional events, including the Ladies European Tour qualifying school. A scout caddy is compulsory for every flight, and players with a handicap of 28 or above must take a caddy.

A scout caddy is compulsory for every flight, shared by the players and paid locally. Golfers with a handicap of 28 or above must also take a caddy.
