Um hótelið

Penina Hotel & Golf Resort sits on a large estate between Portimão and Alvor in the western Algarve. Golf is the reason to stay. The Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course starts outside the hotel, and the resort also has two 9-hole layouts, the Resort and Academy courses, plus a driving range and practice greens. The championship course was the first in the Algarve and has hosted the Portuguese Open ten times.

Our packages use a Mountain View room, looking over the resort towards the Monchique hills. There are several places to eat, including the Sagres buffet restaurant, Le Grill, the Italian L’Arlecchino and the Sir Henry Cotton clubhouse. Facilities include a large outdoor pool, tennis courts and a gym, and the hotel runs a beach club at Alvor with a seasonal shuttle.

Alvor beach is about 10 minutes away and Lagos about 25 minutes. Faro Airport is about 50 minutes by car.

Where do I play?

All green fees in our packages are on the Sir Henry Cotton Championship Course at the hotel. From November 2026 to 18 February 2027 and from 28 May to 28 August 2027, the packages also include free golf of one round per person per day.

Are airport transfers included?

No. Airport transfers are not included in our packages, but we can arrange them on request.

Is dinner included?

The packages are bed and breakfast. On stays of 7 nights or more, one dinner is included (drinks not included).
