Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima are neighbouring courses in the eastern Algarve, both designed by Rocky Roquemore and opened in 2002. Quinta da Ria sits next to the Ria Formosa Natural Park, with views over the Atlantic and Cacela Velha beach. Large bunkers shape the front nine and water comes into play on the 10th, 14th and 17th. It is par 72 and 6,053 metres, and has hosted European Seniors Tour qualifying and the Portugal Algarve Ladies Open.
Quinta de Cima is the longer and tougher of the pair at 6,586 metres from the back tees, also par 72. It runs uphill through century-old olive and carob trees, orange groves and vineyards, with views of the sea and the hills. The club has a driving range, putting green, chipping area, restaurant and shop. Both courses feature in our Monte Rei and Vila Galé Tavira packages.
