Praia D’El Rey was designed by Cabell B. Robinson and opened in 1997. The par 73 layout mixes two types of golf: holes cut through undulating pine woods inland, and flatter, sandy holes in the dunes along the Atlantic shore. From the dune holes there are views out to the Berlengas Islands.
It measures 6,434 metres from the back tees. The wind off the ocean is often the main defence, especially on the seaside stretch. Top 100 Golf Courses ranks it among the best courses in Portugal. The club has a driving range with covered bays, putting green, practice bunker, pro shop and restaurants, and the Praia D’El Rey Marriott hotel is next to the course.

Is it a links course?
Partly. Several holes are in the dunes along the shore and play like links golf, while the rest run through pine woods.
How far is it from Lisbon Airport?
About 1 hour by car. Airport transfers are not included in our packages but can be arranged on request.
