Ombria Golf Course

Ombria is one of the newest courses in the Algarve. It opened in 2023 in the hills near Querença, north of Loulé, as part of the Ombria resort, and was designed by Jorge Santana da Silva. The course winds through a valley of citrus groves, fig and carob trees and old riverbeds. The front nine climbs and drops with real elevation change and several elevated tees; the back nine is gentler, with wider fairways.

It is par 71 and 5,802 metres from the back tees, so length is less important than club selection on the slopes. Buggies are compulsory and included in the green fee. There is a putting green and chipping green, locker rooms and a clubhouse with restaurant and bar, and the course holds GEO Foundation sustainability certification. There is no full driving range. Ombria is included in our Dona Filipa packages, with a shared buggy and a shuttle from the hotel.
