Turkey's first championship course, cut through pine and eucalyptus with gentle elevation changes that are rare in Belek. Subtle doglegs and small, firm greens put a premium on position rather than length, and the back nine plays towards the Taurus mountains. Floodlit for night golf in the warmer months.
National opened in November 1994 as the first championship course in Belek and the first in Turkey to host an international professional tournament. David Feherty and David Jones routed it through pine and eucalyptus on gently rolling ground, with the Taurus mountains in view from most of the back nine. Three decades on it still feels like a members’ club rather than a resort course.
The club is run by Regnum Carya and shares its reputation for conditioning. It has a PGA-qualified academy, one of the largest junior programmes in Europe, and a floodlit back nine for night golf in the warmer months.
The maximum handicap is 36 for men and ladies. Groups of eight or more get one free place in eight. The course is overseeded in September and buggies stay on the paths for a week afterwards; current dates are listed below.
