CampoReal Golf

CampoReal was designed by Donald Steel and opened in 2005. It lies near Turcifal, north of Lisbon, and runs through valleys planted with cork oak, olive and eucalyptus trees. The course follows the natural lie of the land, and water comes into play early: a lake guards the 1st green and streams cross the following holes.

It is par 72 and 6,009 metres from the back tees, so it is not long, but the slopes and water reward accurate play. The round ends with two par 5s. The Dolce CampoReal hotel sits beside the course, and the clubhouse terrace looks over the 18th. Practice facilities include a 20-bay driving range, putting, pitching and chipping greens and a practice bunker.
