What does a golf holiday on the Black Sea include?
The Black Sea coast north of Varna has three clifftop courses within a few kilometres of each other: Thracian Cliffs, BlackSeaRama and Lighthouse. Stay at one of the golf resorts, or at a beach hotel in Golden Sands, and play all three. Packages are being prepared; tell us your dates and we will send you a quote.

When is the best time for golf on the Black Sea?
April to October is the main season, with May, June and September usually the most comfortable months. The courses reopen in early March, weather permitting, and some keep shorter hours in winter. July and August are warm and the beach resorts are at their busiest.
Flights to Varna run mainly in spring and summer, so check the flights for your dates before you book.

Golf resort or beach hotel?
The three golf resorts put you on the course: the Boutique Hotel at BlackSeaRama, Lighthouse Golf & Spa Hotel and the residences at Thracian Cliffs. From any of them the other two courses are only a few minutes away by car, so one base is enough for a week of golf.
For a beach holiday that mixes golfers and non-golfers, Meliá Grand Hermitage in Golden Sands is a five-star all-inclusive resort on the beach, about 30 km south of BlackSeaRama and closer to Varna Airport.

Which golf courses can we play?
Thracian Cliffs, BlackSeaRama and Lighthouse. All three are on the clifftops between Balchik and Kavarna, a few minutes apart by car.
How far are the courses from Varna Airport?
Between about 45 minutes and an hour by car. We can arrange airport transfers on request.
Can we play golf there in winter?
The courses reopen in early March and the main season runs from April to October. In winter some courses close or keep shorter hours, depending on the weather.
Are golf packages available?
