Sherry Golf Jerez is on the edge of Jerez de la Frontera, the home of sherry, close to the town centre, its bodegas and the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, and about 35 minutes by car from Costa Ballena. The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Stirling & Martin in the style of American courses and measures around 6,600 metres from the back tees, one of the longest in Spain. Wide fairways and large greens keep it fair for amateurs, while the length and bunkering make it a real test from the back. It has hosted the Spanish King’s Cup and Queen’s Cup several times.
Practice facilities are good: a natural-grass driving range over 250 metres long with room for 50 players, two putting greens and a chipping green with bunkers, plus the Sherry Golf Jerez Academy for lessons. The clubhouse has a restaurant and terrace looking over the countryside and a pro shop; buggies, trolleys and electric Powakaddys are available for hire.
Sherry Golf is included in our Atlantic Golf package at Elba Costa Ballena. Transport to the course is not included; most golfers hire a car, or we can arrange transfers. It is a short drive from Jerez Airport, so it also works well on an arrival or departure day.
