La Quinta Golf & Country Club is in Marbella’s “Golf Valley” above Nueva Andalucía, part of The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort. Spanish Ryder Cup player Manuel Piñero designed its 27 holes, which opened around 1990 and play as three nines: San Pedro, Ronda and Guadaiza.
The layout is undulating, with water hazards, sloping fairways and views of the sea and the mountains; a buggy is recommended. The three nines combine into 18-hole rounds of about 4,900 to 5,350 metres, par 70 or 71.
The club has a driving range with covered bays, putting and pitching greens, a clubhouse restaurant and bar, and a pro shop. La Quinta is about 25 minutes from Elba Estepona and is included in our Birdie and Albatros packages.
