Dreamland is where modern championship golf in Cairo began. Karl Litten opened the 18-hole course in 1997, and David Jones refined it in 2010. It lies in Dreamland on the western edge of the city, a short drive from the Giza Pyramids. The course measures 7,205 yards from the back tees, and its narrow, winding fairways between grassy mounds and lakes reward accuracy more than length. Five sets of tees keep it manageable for most handicaps.
The nine-hole Pharaoh Course is laid out to face the Pyramids, and practice facilities include a floodlit range with target greens. Dreamland has hosted the Egyptian Open and several Alps Tour events, most recently the 2026 Dreamland Open. Hilton Pyramids Golf and Swiss Inn Pyramids Golf Resort are both beside the course, so you can walk to the first tee.
