NAU Morgado Golf & Country Club lies inland in a valley between Portimão and the Monchique hills, among olive groves and fruit trees. Both courses are by European Golf Design. The Morgado course opened in 2003 and is the longer of the two, at 6,399 metres from the back tees and par 73, with broad, flat fairways and Scottish-style bunkering. It hosted the Portuguese Open in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
Álamos opened in 2006. It is a par 71 on more rolling ground, with narrower fairways, well-placed trees and views to the Monchique mountains. Many golfers find it the more demanding of the two despite its shorter length. The two courses share a clubhouse with a restaurant and bar, two practice grounds, chipping and putting greens and a golf academy. The NAU Morgado hotel is a short walk from the first tees.
