Akenza is the newest course in Marrakech, opened in 2025 and designed by Kyle Phillips, the architect of Al Maaden. It is a bold desert layout: eight holes play over natural wadis and rocky canyons, the greens sit on plateaus and run fast, and the High Atlas fills the skyline. The signature hole is the par-3 7th, played across a canyon.
At more than 6,500 metres from the back tees it is a demanding course, but the forward tees make it playable for most golfers. The clubhouse has a restaurant and bar; please note that it does not yet serve alcohol while the club waits for its licence.
