Laguna opened in 1990 to a design by Joseph Lee. It is quite different from the pine-lined Old Course and Pinhal: the ground is low and open, there are few trees and water comes into play on 11 holes. With 79 bunkers and little shelter from the breeze, the course has something of a links feel, and the wind often decides how hard it plays.
The course is par 72 and 6,121 metres from the white tees. With few trees to block recovery shots it is one of the friendlier Vilamoura courses for mid and high handicappers, as long as you keep it out of the lakes. Laguna shares a clubhouse with the Millennium course, with a restaurant, bar, pro shop, driving range, putting green and chipping area. It is included in most of our Vilamoura packages.

Is Laguna suitable for higher handicappers?
Yes. There are few trees to get in the way, although the water and the wind need respect.
How far is it from Faro Airport?
About 25 minutes by car. Airport transfers are not included in our packages but can be arranged on request.
Can I combine Laguna with Millennium?
Yes. The two courses share a clubhouse and most of our Vilamoura packages include both.
