Pestana Vila Sol is on the western edge of Vilamoura, a short drive from the marina. Donald Steel designed the course, which opened in 1991 with 18 holes and now has 27 in three loops of nine: Prime, Challenge and Prestige. Any two loops make a par-72 round. Pestana has run it since 2011.
The holes run through pine forest on slightly hilly ground. Fairways are narrow and lined with trees, so accuracy matters more than length. Lakes and bunkers protect several greens, and the greens are kept quick. The opening holes are usually thought the hardest stretch. Facilities include a driving range, putting greens, a pro shop and a clubhouse restaurant. The Pestana Vila Sol hotel is next to the course.

Which nines will I play?
The club allocates two of the three nines (Prime, Challenge and Prestige) on the day. Each combination is par 72.
Er det noen handicapgrense?
Yes. The maximum handicap is 28 for men and 36 for ladies, so please bring your handicap certificate.
Where can I stay?
The Pestana Vila Sol is next to the course, and our packages there add the Dom Pedro courses in Vilamoura.
Are airport transfers included?
No. Airport transfers are not included in our packages, but we can arrange them on request. Faro Airport (FAO), about 25 minutes by car.
