Benamor is at Conceição de Tavira, a few minutes inland from Tavira in the eastern Algarve. The course opened in 2000 following a design by Sir Henry Cotton. It is par 71 and 5,497 metres from the back tees, so it is one of the shorter 18-hole courses in the region, but the hilly terrain keeps it interesting.
It is a relaxed, friendly club that suits holiday golfers of most standards. Facilities include a driving range, putting green and chipping area, a golf academy, restaurant and shop, with buggies, trolleys and clubs for hire. The course is open from 7am to 8pm between March and October and closes an hour earlier in winter. Benamor is the closest course to Vila Galé Tavira and is included in all our packages there.

Is Benamor a good course for higher handicappers?
Yes. It is shorter than most Algarve courses, although the slopes call for careful club selection.
How far is it from Faro Airport?
About 30 minutes by car. Airport transfers are not included in our packages but can be arranged on request.
How far is it from Tavira?
About 10 minutes by car from the centre of Tavira.
