Axis Ponte de Lima Golf was designed by Daniel and David Silva and the club was founded in 1995. It is at Quinta de Pias, Fornelos, just outside Ponte de Lima in the Minho region, about 70 km north of Porto, and is part of the Axis Ponte de Lima Golf Resort Hotel.
The 18-hole course is par 71 and measures 6,005 metres from the white tees. The two nines are quite different. The front nine climbs through hills and ravines among chestnut, cork and oak trees, with some steep slopes. The back nine is flatter, laid out on the valley floor beside vineyards, fields and orchards. Water comes into play on several holes. The club has a driving range, putting green, clubhouse and the Olival restaurant, and the old town of Ponte de Lima, on the River Lima, is a few minutes’ drive away.

Where can I stay?

How far is it from Porto Airport?
About 50 minutes by car. From central Porto it is about 1 hour.
Is the course hilly?
The front nine is hilly and wooded with some steep slopes; the back nine is much flatter. A buggy is recommended for the front nine.
